Campagna RAEE - Fai la tua mossa

The campaign addresses the gap between the widespread use of electrical and electronic equipment and awareness of its correct end-of-life management. The challenge concerns the WEEE value chain: preventing unnecessary disposal through repair and reuse, and ensuring correct collection when equipment can no longer be used. The campaign targeted primarily people aged 25–45, while also involving younger and older groups to adapt messages and communication formats to different audiences.

“Fai la tua mossa” was a six-month information and awareness campaign developed by Erion WEEE, Junker App, A Sud and EconomiaCircolare.com, running from 29 May to 29 December 2025. It combined digital communication, journalism, events and educational activities to promote repair, reuse and correct WEEE collection. The campaign used videos, carousels, articles, influencer content, a card game and a teachers’ toolkit, while Junker App was used to help identify WEEE and locate collection points. At schools, students took part in practical repair activities and learned how to correctly dispose of equipment that could not be repaired. The approach therefore connected higher-priority actions in the waste hierarchy, such as repair and reuse, with correct collection and recycling. The campaign combined information, practical education and direct interaction rather than relying on awareness-raising alone. Digital content was connected to physical 3 events, school workshops and tools for identifying WEEE and collection points. Its communication was also adapted to different audiences and channels, following preliminary focus groups with younger and older participants. The campaign involved three content creators with established audiences and developed content from questions and interactions emerging during the campaign itself, creating a feedback loop between communication, public response and subsequent content.
Over six months, the campaign produced around 90 social media contents across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, alongside dedicated editorial articles, influencer content, public events and educational materials. It generated over 870,000 views across Instagram and Facebook, plus 25,644 LinkedIn impressions. The campaign included nine public events and involved more than 400 students in practical activities on repair, reuse and correct WEEE disposal. Educational outputs included a WEEE-themed card game, a teachers’ toolkit and the integration of Junker App to identify equipment and collection points. Impact was also assessed through two surveys, collecting approximately 5,000 final responses.
